Here’s me, after many years, starting to blog again.
I’m getting older, and I want a record of the things I achieve, see and do. This is for me, more than anyone else. But if you find the stuff I post interesting… well then hey, I’m glad to have made a modicum of an impact somewhere to someone.
At the moment, I’m currently working in my spare time, trying to run an independent DIY record label in Cardiff, where I live.
The photo above was taken by the lovely Lewis Griffiths and is of me and the equally lovely Joshua Price (aka Scriber). The label I run, Rocking Chair Records, is releasing its second ever EP this year with Scriber and Lewis is producing and mixing it. I’ve spent a lot of time in Lewis’ home studio over the past few weeks and months and we’re getting so close to finishing the recording stages.
In the photo above, Josh is recording some guitar parts to a track called ‘Bethlehem’ while I’m twiddling with the guitar tones. It’s sounding lovely, really proud of what we’ve achieved so far and I can’t wait for it to find its place in the world. We’re hoping for a December release for the EP, maybe you can guess why.
